During my recent stay at Pousada Rio Vermelho in Florianópolis, I was delighted by its charming and slightly quirky ambiance, which immediately made my family feel at home. Nestled within a beautiful forest and just a short 600m walk from a tranquil beach, this pousada is a perfect retreat for those seeking relaxation amid nature. Each morning, we enjoyed a simple yet wholesome buffet breakfast that included fresh fruits and a selection of bread and cold meats, fueling us for our adventures. The amenities were perfectly suited for my family, including a lovely outdoor pool and a kids' play area where our children could let off steam. Although we found the beach access a bit limited during our short stay, the friendly staff were always eager to help with suggestions for activities, including ecological treks and boat tours around the stunning Conceição Lagoon. While the accommodation cost was on the higher side for a family-BRL 170 for two-it was clear to us that the lovely surroundings and personalized service made it worth the splurge. Pousada Rio Vermelho is ideal for families like mine who appreciate a laid-back vacation spot with easy access to nature, making it a memorable introduction to Brazil as well.
